Plux

Plux is a slang term for the red plunar xarl from Dem Mikhailov's "The Lowest" universe. These creatures feed on blood, bits of flesh, and even the brain matter of their victims. Their tough scales are nearly impervious to cutting weapons, and their bite is dangerous: along with their saliva, the plux injects a venom that causes lethargy, weakness, disorientation, and loss of consciousness. The larger the specimen, the more lethal the dose. Plux reproduce by spawning and quickly conquer new territories if left unchecked. By adding a plux to your shelf, you demonstrate your respect for the true danger of the lower worlds.
